Fitness couple finds their life’s purpose by sharing testimonies of a whole-foods plant-based diet on health and recovery from terminal illnesses

When we realized that we can live stronger and healthier lives on a plant-based diet without harming innocent beings, it was a clear choice!

Cat Yeo has been a fitness instructor for about 20 years, giving her the chance to inspire others to live their healthiest lives by finding joy in movement and being active. Along with her husband, Kenneth Yeo, she creates awareness, sharing their real life stories and presenting to the public another option to improve their health and well-being. They detail their fitness journey as well as stories of their clients who have reaped the health benefits of going on a plant-based diet in their regular sharing sessions on social media. Their most prominent sharing session is that of Carol Yap, Kenneth’s mother, who won the battle with cancer with the help of a whole-foods plant-based diet.

We absolutely believe that going on a whole-foods plant-based diet, without any processed food, contributed greatly to her recovery. We wanted her body to be in the best condition to fight not only cancer but also the drugs that she had to take and
endure. With her newfound diet, her side effects from the chemotherapy were minimal. Her story is a testament to how a whole foods plant-based diet can actually help cancer patients on their road to faster recovery.

Their journey toward going plant-based was not a bed of roses. Cat’s family was worried that she will end up with malnutrition but over time, they were convinced through mere observation of the positive changes in her health and acknowledged that she was getting fitter and stronger while on a plant-based diet. Kenneth’s biggest hurdle in turning vegan was the fear of losing strength and muscle mass. However, it only took two weeks for him to be convinced that meat was not needed in the equation to be stronger. His new diet boosted his immune system and he found himself recovering from illnesses faster than ever. Having reached their health and fitness goals, the couple realized they could leave an impact in this world.

Our future vision is to make real connections with people and help advocate change through friendship and food. At the end of the day, we want people to know that there is another choice on the table to be healthier, more compassionate, and happier.
